You could try drawing in the sketchbook each "panel" and then do all the layout/post production in a program after scanning the pic? If you're more comfy drawing in the sketchbook, let that work in your favor, right ? ^^
I think i'm just going to plug on and try to get to the place where i'm as comfortable drawing for other people as i am for myself.

For me, the problem is that what I have to draw for a comic is dictated by the content of the story as opposed to what I'm actually(relatively) good at drawing. No matter how much I like a character design or whatever, it doesn't really matter once I have to draw them scratching their back or eating sandwiches. I might decide to put them on a horse before remembering I suck at drawing animals. I can spend some time working over my mistakes, but you can't really make up for all of your shortcomings while working on a single drawing, so at some point I just say "I am not very good at this", draw a panel that is not very good, and just keep plugging along.
Yeah, you're right. I keep messing up single images and trying to make it better than something i have the ability to do. I just need to do the best i can do and move on so i can finally finish this effing thing. This is at least the 3rd version of the current version of the story, i need to make it the last!
