One more Adventure time piece. I'm turning this one into a watercolor and gouache piece. Princess Bubblegum is next then the Ice king and then either Billy or another piece I haven't sketched yet. All of this is for an Adventure Time themed group show in Houston in April.

That bee traveler is a fine fellow

I would love some advice, actually. Especially on shading / using colors. If anyone has any tips, general philosophies, whatever, I'm all ears.

I really like that bee fellow. You should draw more of him. I think the best advice on colors is to limit what you're using. Pull a limited palette and go from that. Shadowing is all about observation. Best advice: draw a lot and draw from observation and draw what's in your head too

i feel like he earns his travelin' expenses by selling Bibles. He doesn't believe much of it, but he figures if it brings someone joy, it's okay. He's a very fine fellow. He doesn't even like taking anyone's money, but he knows he has to sometimes, just to get by.
