I certainly hope this is the case- based on the copy of the movie that's out, it wouldn't be hard to do. Word has it that Ryan Reynolds was involved in the reshoots, so maybe this will be fixed. If so, it'll be a pretty good movie overall. I mean, the DP bullshit was the only truly lame thing about it.Quote:

I don't think it's a totally 100% wonderful movie besides that, but there are some good moments in it. I'd certainly like to see it salvaged.

Personally, I thought it was pretty good minus a few majorly dumb parts.
1. Don't have Sabertooth be Logan's brother, that's some lame shit.
2. Don't have deadpool be Mutant XI
3. Fucking adamantium bullet bullshit needs to be gone.
4. Mutant XI just was retarded overall, fucking katana blades coming out of his arm bullshit
I don't remember much else that really made me go AARGGGHHH FANBOY RAGE so i guess it wasn't as bad as people make it out to be.
Some stuff could be changed some can't. If they fix at least number 2, its a passable movie. I mean it wasn't perfect but with that change it also wouldn't be the horseshit that was X-Men 3.
I don't mind the bros. thing, mostly because I misunderstood that to be the point of the Origin comic in the first place. I know now that's not correct, but was pretty settled on the idea.
If they do the Miller/Clairemont comic straight as "Wolverine 2", it would be amazing.

Are they doing a Wolverine 2, like has it been committed to before this one even hit theaters? I don't know I guess it just annoyed how they constantly hinted at the two of them being related in the comics and then finally proved they weren't it was like fine its settled then. Stupid to see them go back to it.

I stopped paying close attention to the particulars of Wolverine's backstory right around the time that nice die-cut cover issue came out. #50? Years ago. They retcon shit too much too often.
Yeah, Jackman has been saying in interviews that he wants to do a sequel ASAP, and he wants it to be set in Japan ala the Miller/Clairemont story. But in a departure from the comics, he wants Wolvie to have a gay love affair with Silver Samurai. I'm sure the fanboys will be espeically up in arms about that.
$5 says they change "evil Japanese father" character to Silver Samurai.
On account of him being So Shiny.
The opening sequence with the bear is gonna be bad-ass, though.
