But the young people are the well-educated ones. It's the public school systems in urban areas that come out with all the statistics that beat our public schools. Their universities are nowhere near as good as ours though.

They're given a propogandized education, but they boy do they know maths when they're 14!

Take a class with a religious fundy. I had one set beside me, and he said some of the stupidest shit I've ever heard. Shit like comparing humans to vhs tapes, and how our genetic code gets worse and worse every time we have kids because its a copy of a copy.

Fundies do have problems with space. They believe insane shit like we have never been to space, the moon landing was a hoax, space isn't as big as we think it is, that the big bang is an evil conspiracy of the devil.

I said what I said because I thought it would be funny. I'm sorry if you have no sense of humor. The first few sentences about MY astrology class should have tipped you off that I was making a joke at the expense of some of the stupid people that live around me. I gave a context to what I was saying in the first few sentences, but you chose to ignore it so you could feel insulted.

those stats are often not fair. Their schools are not set up like ours and they do not believe in education for all.

take Japan's schools for example. You have to take a test at a certain level to have the right to go on to the next level.

IF we did that with our own schools, our stats would be much higher as we would be keeping our stupid kids from taking those test further down the line.

Give me a while to research university statistics. I'm sure our schools don't dominate the top of the list, and I'm also sure that international and european based engineering conglomerates have the tippest of the top engineers in the world. Also I don't know how many foreign-educated people work at NASA.

And I also think that the brightest talent works in the corporate sector, either here or in foreign companies.
