Yep... that's him. I wonder if we're gonna see Criticom stop in and comment. I imagine his family is as busy as hell with this stuff. I hope they're doing okay.

I saw that on TV this morning.
Obviously it totally sucks that Crit's bro is a terrorist, but he did say one thing that stuck with me - about how we are torturing people (Gitmo, Black Sites, Abu Ghraib) and killing women and children (Haditha), but when their guys capture, torture, and kill our soldiers - they are the terrorists.
We really have lost our moral standing in this war and its going to make things a lot worse. So fucked up.
I have a message for him: You're going to make a nice parking lot.
We hate their lifestyle, they hate ours.
When will everyone realize all this wasted time could have gone into researching flying belts. EVERYONE COULD BE FLYING but no instead we get pointless fighting. FLYING!
What's the background info on this, how do you guys know they are related? I don't normally read the political threads, so this is an honest question.
Or a great bong.Quote:

I hope he comes around soon. He's a good guy.
Wow that was a TNLer's brother? I'm honestly shocked. I've never been this close to a terrorist. Well, as close as you can get to them on an internet website.
There's a pretty damn big difference between individuals losing it due to stress and doing something stupid versus a strategy of targeting civilians and televising beheadings. I can't believe you of all people are buying this bullshit.Quote:

My favorite comment from the bottom of the page:

I bet that beard really itches.
It's not a "big" difference when you consider that we are torturing Iraqis, imprisoning Iraqis, killing Iraqi women and Iraqi children. Whether it's because of "stress" or because hate groups are infiltrating the military is irrelevant.Quote:

I wager anyone in this country, especially the people in rural red states down South, would fight them.
Does it suck that they can televise beheadings and shit while we still act honorable and good? Yes... but thats the way the war needs to be fought. And, finally, considering the acknowledgement that this is a "war of hearts and minds", we are doing a pretty fucking shitty job of fighting it. It's just making things worse and you know it.
I read an article from the Army War College about how the French in Algieria didn't acknowledge the nationalistic element of the fighters there and thats why they lost. We are making the same mistake.
Black sites are not individuals losing it due to stress.Quote:

My favorite: "vigorous interrogation"
Close second, when the Gitmo detainees committed suicide, they were engaged in "asymetric warfare" against us.
I can't really express opinions well on this. I'm obviously against all terrorists, whether they be Al-Queda or US soldiers that are committing crimes over there as well. Right now, I just hope Criticom and his family are hanging in their. I remember him saying how shitty it was at one point with the news being at his house all the time and shit. Can't imagine what kind of crap they're going through, especially his mother...
As unbias as I try to be I have no sympathy for people wanting to bring a war here. Yeah I can be called bind-sighted but who would want bodies piling up in their home? After the leak of the Path Train bombing plot, I find it hard to care about the cause of these people.
We should pull out of their affairs and let them kill each other but right now we are there trying to minimize the blunders that we have caused. President Bush should realize that if we just ignore them Darwinism (?) will kick into high gear.
Truth: Darwin didn't much like his ideas applied to society.Quote:

Now, if we do that becuase we are taught, or if it is part of something deep inside us, that is anyone's guess.
What? All animals clean and help each other.
That is really classless to post in a place where Crit also posts.Quote:

Shit just happens, I don't think anyone has a right to be harassing Criticom's family about this. He said several times before that his brother left early on and didn't contact anyone at all, and that his family barely acknowledged him at all.
The gap between what you think you know and what you actually know is fucking astounding.Quote:

You can fuck up a child without teaching him what eventually becomes the sign of him being fucked up. It's not a certainty, but it is also highly possible.Quote:

The dude made his own decisions. If the parents really were a factor then both kids would be al-Qaeda.

I'm sure that related to what I said in some way, but I can't find it. No one said it was a definite that his parents had anything to do with it. While it wouldn't make them legally responsible, the Orange County spoil-a-brat syndrome would certainly help steer a stupid kid to think he stumbled upon the golden fucking sheep when he heard something new and stupid, like anything Al Qaeda has ever said.Quote:

And I think people should be held personally responsible for their actions. As long as the parents weren't recruiting for al-Qaeda (and if they were, they'd be in jail now) your comments are ridiculous and classless.
I wish we could all just sit down and enjoy some Big Macs and Coca-Cola.
We can, but who's buying?

You really said something totally stupid and wrong there.
that was my point, dumbass. pack animals are the only animals that share anything like our ethics and morals.Quote:

Plenty of animals kill their own kind, and those of their own family/group as well.
1) he said all animals. That would included reptilies and fish, who do things like lay eggs and then leave them to raise themselves. That isn't very socialQuote:

Say anything like that again and you get time off.Quote:

You know what? You're right. I'm so baffled by someone who grew up in the US wanting to kill Americans that I was going blame crazy. It's a bit late to edit the original post, but if Criticom happens to be lurking, I apologize for bringing his parents into this.Quote:

You should take the word "fallow" out of your dictionary file because you'll never use it.

Bump I guess, they're considering trying him for treason.
http://dailynightly.msnbc.com/2006/1...an_to_be_.html
That's a pretty big development, but how really would it change anything? He's on the FBI's most wanted list and all of that still, isn't he?
I realize that part, but it's not going to change much on how he's dealt with. He's still on all of the wanted lists and a treason tag won't magically make the hunt for him intensified, I figured.
Someone just fucking shoot him and save us all some tax money.
I think it's really amusing there's an American member of Qaeda. You just know the war mongers about shit themselves when they saw it.
At first I read all the comments posted on the ABC website and it made me really sad to see all the stupid comments. Then I finished reading this thread and got to enjoy Yoshi spitting the same wonderful bullshit.
