Doug Stanhope to run for president in 2008

I believe he was drunk, if not drunk. Definitly tipsy. If you view more of the videos of Stanhope on Youtube, he'll mention the bars located in the back. Handing free booze to him before his act.

Yeah, it should be mentioned that Stanhope doesn't do gigs within 100 miles of New York City. He has a dislike of the place bordering on phobia. He generally won't even play Philly because he's afraid new yorkers will drive down, though he's doing a rare gig there this fall. Rouse and Andrist likewise almost never come out here.

He is pretty much always drunk. But speaking as if your making shit up as you go along is the oldest trick in the stand-up book. He's deliberately hesitating and such for comic effect.

I still think Hulk Hogan should run for President.
