You do get stir crazy. I absolutely have to go out for lunch when I am working at home, and I tend to run an errand or two just to get out too.

Yeah, I remember this. What I always hated, I think I saw this on most bases I went to, was the pencil pushing Air Force Employees, ie. Chair Force, would always get off early in the afternoon for gym time AND would get off early every Friday. So if I had to get some mandatory training or paperwork to get done around 1 PM on Friday , it probably wasnt going to happen.Quote:

Oh and your commander can authorize and order you to work more than a 12. I've unfortunately seen it first hand.
They do. They even measure it. It's called "productivity". The really stupid thing is that most companies don't measure the value of the time. They just measure the time, efficiency be damned.Quote:

Trust me peeps, she's two years younger than me and makes almost as much as I do. These jobs pay WELL.
Sounds like an actuary. Yes the jobs do pay well but there's a lot of pain to get to that point.Quote:

You're right Yoshi, just thinking here:
Engineers, Investment Bankers, Chemists, etc all are paid well. Well, to much in the case of those damn engineers, but hey....
