Maybe I've been living too long in suburbanville, but wtf is up with locked bathrooms. You usually find them in uptowns, ghettoey areas, or gas stations with bathrooms outside. It's such a pain in the ass to ask for the key tethered to a huge wood block. I guess the point of locking it is to keep homeless people from living there, gays from using it as a public make-out spot, and to deter people from shitting on the sink, floors, and walls.
lol @ this thread. The only places I have seen locked bathrooms are gas stations and Best Buy, though Best Buy changed this policy.

A few McDonalds around my area recently started to lock their bathrooms.
If you live in South Jersey or travel to the Jersey show(Wildwood, Ocean City, etc) and you traveled RT 42 aka North/South Freeway. The little rest inlet areas near the AC Expressway entrance were known for gays to make out on. Or Truckers to shit and piss at ... mind you theres no port-a-potties. They shut them down, but recently reopened them. Now their used for cops to nail speeders.

I can see stores doing this; ie. Deter shoplifters, but everywhere else is just ridiculous.
