Stop getting married at 20 years old.

You're 18, 19, or 20 years old. You haven't even begun to live life yet, and you want to "settle down" already? What is wrong with you? Stop.

I ran into one of my big high school crushes at the store sometime last year, turns out she was getting married. I also had the pleasure of meeting her husband-to-be. He reminded me of Tommy Lee, tattoos and all. I found out through some other friends this year that she's going to be a mother. If I'm not mistaken, she just recently turned 21.

A good friend of mine also got married at 19 I believe.

I'm 23 and there is still a whole lot I want to accomplish before I even consider thinking of marriage. I hope most of you feel the same.

There was this girl I worked with at EB, cute as hell, she got married like a week after she turned 18.

If you go to college you get college friends. College people have a future-oriented perspective that people who didn't don't seem to have. Hang out with some non-college people for a change. I did before my 5th year in college and was blown away. They're getting married, engaged, having kids, not even thinking twice about it. Im not a sociologist but one can shed some light into this phenomenon.

I'm 26 and i'm not going to think of getting married till i'm probably late 30s or in my 40s. Of course, this is the reason the general populace's intelligence is decreasing. Morons get married at 20 and pop out 5 or 6 more morons before someone smart, who doesn't settle down till later, even has 1.

Your life has hardly begun at 20. I'm a firm believer in going out and getting some life experience before settling down.

Anyway, no one should be getting married until they're where they want to be in life. If you get married, the wife and kids have to come first. You can't take chances anymore. When you're just watching your own ass you can afford to fuck up here and there.

Of course, you can't take truly falling in love into account, 'cause who knows when and where that may happen, so beware. ;)

As you said, the college kids think about their future. The non-college kids are thinking of the now. But hey, that's fine, Walmart needs employees and customers too.

They say if you want to reduce the population, educate the people. I don't plan on marrying until I'm deep into my 30s or 40s either. Seems like people that move out that early or get married that early are trying to compensate for their stormy lives growing up in broken homes, disfunctional families, etc. Most people can barely afford to live on their own at that age much less afford to properly raise a family.
