For some reason I couldn't find a thread dedicated to this game. It's a direct port of the PS1 original with new CG cinemas. Seems to be exactly the same other than that, aside from a bit more loading time.
I've never played the original (too damned expensive on eBay), but I've heard nothing but gushing about it and the video I've seen looks really cool.
Reviews so far have been very positive. Game's out tomorrow, anybody else getting it?
Probably. Hell if I know why I'm wasting more money on another PSP game considering I haven't finished all the ones I have yet (haven't even started Sakura Taisen, at that!), but I'm paranoid about it disappearing.Quote:

The thing with Lenneth (the original VP) is that it gets a lot of praise for nothing, and its not the kind of game you can get into in your first run. The PSP port apparently has some ratio stretching issues, muggy sprite textures and of course the menu loading Strider already mentioned.
But I still have two PSP copies reserved and paid in full. I'll be picking mine up whenever they get to the store (probably tomorrow after work).
The thing that attracts me to this game is that fact that nearly everyone comments on the fact that they went back to play it a second time. That sounds like quality to me.Quote:

Yeah, in total I've really played through it five times, but only finished three. We'll see how the game is when it gets here. And no, I'm not a pharmacist, it's an inside joke of the baller in the avatar.Quote:

The game is odd in that when it offers you difficulty settings, it penalizes you for playing the easier options. Playing the game on hard offers you 8 more dungeons in the regular story mode, plus access to the "cave of trials" dungeon after you've beaten the game. Also, more skills, items, etc to be found on hard mode.
Also, check an FAQ concerning the good ending, and what you need to do in order to obtain it, for a much more satisfying end-game.
Definitely gonna pick up Lenneth, though probably not until the beginning of August.
