I was in Montreal two weekends ago with my g/f, we stayed at a bed and breakfast and spent most of the weekend in old Montreal. We took a tour of the city on an "amphibus" which was pretty cool. It's a big bus with a propeller and a rudder on the back that can drive into the water and move around like a boat. We went to the Notre Dame, saw a cool Japanese archeology exhibit at a museum, checked out the botanical gardens, saw the "underground city" (which was really disspointing; I was expecting an underground town when in reality it was just an underground mall).

The Metro was suprisingly easy; probably the best subway system I've ever used. The night Italy won the WC there was a makeshift parade of cars and people waving the Italian flag while Frenchies swore at them and cried like little girls. It was quite an experience.
