Anyway, it seems snippy and pissy when people use buzz words like that in political argument and ultimately undermines what the person has to say. I don't really know why I even commented. I've never been able to convince you or diff that using obviously insulting words while trying to make a point undermines what you have to say, so I shouldn't have expected now to be any different.
I think what Buttcheeks is trying to say is: Using terms like Bushite instantly discredits the author with anyone who holds Bush with any regard. This is fine when you're preaching the choir but useless when you're trying to make a valid arguement. It lowers the level of discussion to that of non-objective labeling (limo-liberals is my favorite) and sliding towards name calling.
You're acting like politics weren't irreparably polarized before Diff and I started saying 'bushite'. I'm sorry kids but I think we're old enough to understand that if you can't see the logic in an argument because you get hung up on one term then you're a moron (oops we've hit the name-calling phase).
I don't think anyone is saying that you and diff got together to make the world "irreparably polarized" and the land was full of bunnies and pink dragons before your birth. Nor do I think being able to see the logic when overly emotional insults are used has anything to do with this.
Gozen, me, you, mars, hell even most of this board have taken college speech and various writing classes. I'm not going to get in an argument over this because I know you know that snippy remarks and cussing is bad form when trying to make a sound argument.
