As a Nashville native and life-long Vanderbilt fan, it's hard not to root for Jay Cutler, but even I have to question the switch at quarterback from a fairly successful though currently slumping veteran to an unproven rookie, especially so since Cutler has zero real-game experience and has been getting a severely limited amount of reps in practice thus far. If I were Denver, I'd live or die with Plummer for the rest of the season (especially since they're in the playoff hunt) and then re-evaluate the QB situation at the end of the year.

I agree with wEE. Cutler is not Romo. Romo has been in the NFL learning for years. Cutler is a true rookie, who is now responsible for the success of a playoff team.

I was thinking their best solution would be to keep him and then definitely make the switch for next year.

It looks like he's not going to get that chance since he just got cut so that the Cowyboy's could sign Martin Gramatica.

How many teams has Gramatica played for this season alone? It seems like whenever a kicker gets cut they always go to Gramatica.
