Ottis didn't need someone else to carry his shit when it mattered. He also has a ring, which Barber never will if he runs off to wear make-up after this season. Also, anyone named Ottis deserves more respect than anyone named Tiki. Ottis brings a near Emmitt-like toughness to the table.

Anyone named "Tiki" playing in the NFL gets instant toughness points just for being there. I respect Tiki for leaving if he's had enough. Jim Brown did the same exact thing and he was the best ever as far as I'm concerned.
And Jim Brown did the dirty work. I'm not saying Tiki sucks. I'm saying that he gets way too much air time for what he does. Obviously being in New York contributes, but somehow he got more attention than the vastly better Curtis Martin, which I can't figure out.
Maybe because Curtis hasn't played a down this year? In NY, I think he might be less recognized but certainly equally or more respected than Barber.
I'm talking over the last five years. I'm aware that Martin is out this year, which is the only reason Barber is the best back to play in his home stadium.
I'd take Martin over Barber in a second.

I was about to ask why you were defending Barber when I thought you were a Jets fan. A Ranger/Giant fan is almost as bad as a Flyer/Eagle fan. Almost. A Ranger/Redskin fan would be the lowest for of scum, however.
