I never understood people's problem with Lumines on a X360 pad. The pad sucks, but the major issue is with diagionals, not being able to get left/right when you need it. Lumines does not even have any movement on the Y axis, so that is a non-issue. Maybe your pad sucks more.
Two options there: For Lumines, there is a controller configuration which dumps the d-pad entirely (binding left and right to the bumpers; it's really freakin weird). You can also find one of the Hori controllers (pad or stick); the pad is really damn good for a third party pad but has the exact opposite problem the X360 controller has -- the d-pad and buttons are fine, but the sticks and triggers are terrible.
I did accidently play DoA4 with the stock X360 pad last night though, that was a lolocaust. The thought of even playing a real fighter on that thing makes me dry heave.
Wheres the new Arcade game today???
No game...
...but there is a TEXAS HOLD 'EM PATCH!

If you feel like a bit of work and voiding the waranty that is probably already over.
Ah, another Xbox Live Arcade Wednesday eve. I'm surpirsed there are no rumblings on here as to what tomorrow's game of the day is.
As a side note (and sorry if this is going into "off topic" waters), but anyone else disappointed by Virtual Console in comparison to Xbox Live Arcade? It's pretty sad when Dig Dug with a score board is giving Mario 64 a run for my play time because it's just so much fun to play.
Back on topic, just checked out Wikipedia and see that it's reporting Roboblitz as the game for tomorrow. Awesome!
VC sucks.
This week's game is Roboblitz, BTW.
Pretty broad statement, but I'm starting to think the same. If they optimized the games some it would be a different story, but when Mario 64 controls like shit with the Classic Controller and is borderline passable with the GCN pad (Did it always feel impossible to turn around in Mario 64 without running in a circle? I never remember that being a problem when playing on the N64... and I just played it there a year and a half ago or so!) it makes you look at games on Xbox Live Arcade and be thankful that Microsoft just isn't shoving ROMs onto Market Place and however it works, it works.
Cool. Thank you.Quote:
