Can't blame 'the Romans' for it. It's not like Pilate got his orders from Rome to nail up one specific Jewish messianic troublemaker when the place was crawling with them. The Pharisees told him if he did it the natives wouldn't be restless so he made a decision. It was a shrewd political move. Besides, the Romans more than made up for it by single-handedly making Christianity a world religion instead of small Jewish sect. Personally, I think we'd be better off if they hadn't.Quote:
