I'm afraid the viewing public ain't getting over that until every other friggin' article about anything vaguely comic book related stops including "BAM! ZAP! POW!" in the headline.

If it had been presented as "The Last Film Of Stanley Kubrick", people would be saying, "what the fuck, Stanley Kubrick?"

As presented, it does what it needs to do. If it didn't have the pre-condition of "comic book movie", people's expectations would have been set differently going in.
