if you really really have to know I'd:

1) read about the bass mosrites on that forum
2) take your bass apart and take pictures of the inside pockets, butt of the neck, the head stock, electronics, pickups, everything pretty much.
3) make a thread there, with the history of the guitar, with links to the bands on wikipedia and talk about how wonderful the bass is. Be organized. Make a good enjoyable to read thread.
4A) ask if they can confirm its origin
4B) just make the thread and say you wanted to share your buy with them because you are so happy about it and wait for a Mr.Knowitall to stroll in and correct you. Then act surprised and be very thankful that Mr.KnowitAll blessed you with his mosrite dating internet skills.

I don't know how much I care! It plays like I don't even know what to say. The neck is so small, but it works so well. I haven't even gotten it to my practice spot to really work it out yet.

What would you compare the tone to?

And would you please be sure to make it enjoyable to read? I'm looking for some zesty historical fiction here if you've got time.

Its at least twice as loud as my Fender. I haven't put it through anything but a 15w Crate practice amp yet. I haven't had practice in 1000 years.

Also: 2 15" Celestions for under a hundred is fun. As long as they're looking good when I see them I'll take em.

Time well spent.

This pedal is absolutely essential if you use more than a couple pedals. It's a signal booster/splitter. I get a lot of signal loss considering I use so much shit, and this really helps keep my signal hot. Plus I use it to split to another amp.

50 watt Ampeg Reverberocket This is my main amp. Its 50 watts, 2 12 inch speakers, 2 channels with tube driven reverb. The overdrive channel on this amp is great, and since it's only 50 watts I can really crank it. It has been acting up recently, and probably needs to be recapped.
