$500 too expensive? FUCK YOU GUYS.
I paid $200 for my Jet. Keep an eye out for one with the 70's aesthetic. It is the same amp, mostly... but it goes for way less than the ones with the blue check covering.
Pacrappa, have you made a pedal circuit test rig?
I'm about to build one. I'm going to take a 9 x 4 x 2 Hammond chassis, and flip it, mount a bread board to the inside top (which is now the bottom). I'm probably going mount pots and jacks to a plate that covers the bottom (now the top).
I figure that size is big enough to test most things in, and I can take it anywhere with a nice heavy steal Hammond box.
I might make a thread about this in the art board but...
Is it rude of me to ask for all of the work files in regards to a graphic designer that is doing a faceplate design for me?
I got a guy helping me and he always sends me stuff in pdf. And I'd like to have all the files. And i'm paying him. Is it rude to just ask? I kind of need them for practical reasons. Like to make sure there are multiple back ups. Or making sure I have something i can convert to muliple formats depending on who I send things off to.
My experience is limited, but when doing design work the employer owns everything I do. I would assume that is the case for graphic design too. But I could be wrong.
I've always given layered files to people that ask. Why not?
That being said... you can convert the PDF to any damn format you please.
Yeah I have a test rig for pedals. It's basically just a piece of perforated angle iron zip tied to a board. Filling the holes of the angle iron are three jacks, stereo 1/4, regular 1/4 and audio probe 1/4. Also a bunch of pots and some empty holes for pots that may not be already attached. There's a power jack and a switch on there too. And taped to the big board is a small breadboard. Handy mofo. You can see it for a second a page or so back. I made a video for arjue.
Dude's acting scammy about the Nano amp, so I reversed the paypal charge.
Ordered a Vox AC4TV to use as a super low power amp. Should be here tomorrow - I'll take pics of it with the 4x3.
My Bassman 10 caught on fire during practice last night. I'm pretty bummed out about it. It sounded the best it has ever sounded right before smoke started pouring out of the grille.
To the tech we go!
were you doing that thing where you plug in lots of random cabs into an amp?
