Drummers, where do you practice? My set is in a friends basement right now, but shit can still be heard from the street and more importantly I can't play whenever I want. Back in San Diego I had a rehearsal studio but it was shared with two bands so the cost was low. However there isn't much for studios around here. Anyone tried a storage space?
I spent years in a storage space. Recorded an album in one once. Slept there for a few dark days.
You gotta find one that is in a business district, and then practice after hours. DO NOT tell the manager what you are up to.
Things you need: Space heater. Hang (stolen) carpet on the wall. Piss in a gallon jug.
Rent out a store front in a super sketchy part of town for $100 a month.
Paint the windows black.
Then you gotta pay utilities.
Only power and you're only using it when you're there.
Fuck, don't even pay power. Get battery charger and a battery. Us the battery to power some lights. Maybe get a generator or something.
Something for Pacrappa. I'm practicing learning how to make searchable / copiable pdfs out some of my old books and magazines.
I made this one tonight. It is on how to make a battery powered solid state amp. Even has blueprints for the cab

The jpegs for the pages are in the art board in a thread I made for feedscanners if you want those too. I'd appreciate any feedback or advice on getting better at making these kinds of pdfs.
