I think I've seen webs like that in trees, but not that much. What the hell is a tent worm?

In the first photo I thought the tree looked white because maybe it had a light skin and the sun was shining on it. Fuck, that thing was covered head to toe in web.

I've seen those things around before, but not in that great of quantity. They used to be a lot more prevelant, but I rarely see them these days.
