Yea I know what you are thinking, "the demo sucks... why am I even in this thread?". But apparently the online part is pretty damn neat so I decided to give it a chance.
I've played mostly single player so far to unlock some parts and get a feel for it.
So far I haven't learned dick and just spent my only two online matches running around like a retard with two guns that didn't work at all.
Anyone else picked it up or planing to?
From that description, I am slapping on my sneakers as we speel and racing to the store to buy this for $65.54. Eh wait the demo sucked ass and I way to much shit from reviews to even consider this game.Quote:

I need to customize my hound and team up with some friends before I can give a verdict but I have high hopes. I need a good online game and GoW is far off.

All of the reviews I've read have said that if you don't plan on playing it online, there's no point. The single player mode is the training mode, which by the sounds of it unlocks stuff for the online mode. The customization is supposed to be crazy, I've heard that very few people have gotten the really high end parts yet.

I gave this a rent shortly after it came out. Its not very user friendly in terms of what the HUD tells you, or what the Radar tells you. Maybe I just had an old radar or something. But anyway, the mechs are slow, the guns are boring to me, and the online mode wasn't tried.
The learning curve is pretty steep too. It's a niche title that the core audience loves.
Eh so was phantom dust. Game was a tutorial for the online. I'm super curious about htis to be honest. Anyone at TNL compare this to phantom dust?
Nah, PD was all about building up your deck against others. Chrome Hounds is all about building up your mech in compliment to your crew. I've only played it a little, don't own it, but to get the most out of CH, you really need to join a clan and play together to part in the ongoing conflict. There's a big thread on GAF that goes into more details.
