The finger should be pointed to no-one than the parents.
Number one: Why the heck are you buying this for your kids when it has an inch worth of Mature content in the ESRB rating?!
Number two: Complaining to the marketer will get you nowhere and just make you look dumb. The company didn't just hand the game over to your children, you did.
Number three: If your child starts acting up, be a good parent and handle them. It is all your fault if your kiddie starts crying and breaking things because you didn't take the time and look at the game or say no when your 10 year old wants GTA: San Andreas. "All my friends have it" is bull and if it isn't, his/her friends don't have good parents.
