Holy crap, the single player footage is amazing. Gigantic enemy robot, the sense of scale is absurd.

There are things that big in the PS2 prequel, amazingly. I can't wait to see how retarded this gets.
splitscreen co-op seems awsome. no framedrops either.
I hope this one doesn't end up region-coded :(
Just finished playing 2 player co-op in EDF2 with a friend on Hard. Neither of us wanted to stop, even though we were getting our assess handed to us by huge swarms of giant flying ants. Getting a good new weapon is just like Christmas.
My favorite awesome moment from EDF2 was finally finding a good strategy/use for the grenade that is so powerful, has such a big blast radius, and is so heavy that you'd die trying to use it anywhere but a cliffside.
I think it was one of the late 60s levels. Involved dashing through more spiders than I'd ever seen in the game, reaching a helicopter that'd take me high enough to land on the lowest flying of the four or so gigantic UFOs, and chucking the grenade down at all the spiders that were going nuts jumping up in the air trying to reach me. It was pretty damn ridiculous, given how many tries it took us before we thought of this.
Hahaha, that's great. I once used the helicopter to dive off onto one of the huge saucers, then standing on it shot down all the little saucers all around, then jumped off blasting it with the powerful bazooka. So many weapons, so much fun. I only hope they fix the vehicles to make them useful. I don't care about Pale Wing, never use her, but online co-op would be sweet as well.
Though Sandlot has me by the balls this time. Just release the damn game in the US and I'll buy it for $200. There's no question I'll get my money's worth out of it.
reminds of "It came from the Desert" (amiga)
