EDF1 & 2 had destructable everything. Buildings, bridges, trees... everything will crumble under a rocket launcher.

Have you played Mercenaries? It plays almost exactly like that with the pro controls on, just with more ants. And a cool dodge roll that's essential for staying alive during the horror of reloading. The only thing I would like is a way of changing the orientation of the split screen, but it's no biggy.

Best co-op game ever. No lie.

It splits the screen vertically. I'd like it to run horizontal so I'd have better view on either side. Since I don't use Pale Wing, I don't need much vertical viewing area.

From the videos I've seen, a lot of the (big) enemies require you to shoot up. Wouldn't a horizontal split make that a little harder?

Eh, whatever. Widescreen should make it a non-issue, really.

Nope. Actually easier since the saucers tend to circle you, and it's sometimes hard to keep a bead on them with the current split screen. When shooting large saucers you can't see anything else but them. The most dangerous enemies tend to be the ones on the ground anyway. Widescreen native support will help a little, but I'd really like to have the option.

screenshots mostly look like shit, but it actually looks very good in motion.
