Sorry, but that's simply not true.
1) You're here
2) You're responding
Reading is easy, anyone can do it just by glancing at a page. Responding, on the other hand, takes effort. Don't tell me you don't care when you went to the trouble of typing up a response.
Anyone griping about this game being an endless reiteration of Tempst is more than welcome to grab the Jaguar emulator and Tempest 2K rom. It's a fast emulator so should run on just about anything, and the rom is considered freeware so it's readily available.
Tempset 3K wasn't as good as 2K. Those stupid lane-destroying things combined with the imprecision of controlling Tempest with an analog stick rather than the spinner it's designed to run with to put a brick wall in the middle of the game. The sad thing is, there's a working prototype Nuon spinner, but nobody's quite sure how to replicate it.
Also, from the Llamasoft forums-

Brand new video, almost 700MB, and currently on torrent only for general distribution. 8.5 minutes and good resolution, but still definitely a work in progress. Those of you who've decided to hate it won't change your mind, but those looking forward to it should be pretty pleased at how it's coming along.

Got a bad torrent failure msg.
That's odd, I made sure it worked before posting. It wasn't the fastest ever, but it worked. I've got the file, let me see if I can put it somewhere.
Anyone got a spare 700MB of space I can upload it to? No? Oh well...
-edit- Never mind, the original link is now good for the world. They asked that we wait for Sunday to pass it along, and it's now 1:37AM Sunday morning. So here's a nice, fast download link with both the 675MB and 90MB versions available.

Looks cool, but I think It's kind of annoying (with all that light vomit) when the ship moves from one side of the tempest to the other and the camera jumps.
Looks cool and all, but I thought in a lot of ways that T3k was a step down from T2k. I hope he puts the bonus levels in this one.
Holy shit, that's beautiful -- and no one can say there isn't a game there anymore.
I love the music and the classic gaming sound effects mixed in.
I'm so glad the standard jump is back instead of T3K's crappy thrust system.
If Yak can combine the best elements of both T2K and T3K, with those graphics, this game will absolutely kick ass.
