Has TNL lost it's fucking mind today? Since when did we have to include "soft" before the word "mod" for people to keep up in a conversation about soft modding?

In case you're still confused, yes I was reffering to soft modding. I didn't have to soft mod my system to paly Enchanted Arms and I didn't have to stop playing on Live becuase I soft modded my 360. Yes, Live detects soft mods.

Didn't the original Xbox as well? If something's being done through a post-boot post-region check software exploit like a gameshark, wouldn't that not set off alarm bells?

Yes.

With the early stuff you couldn't connect to Live at all with a soft modded box, then they released better stuff which allows you to turn off the soft mods but it takes a long as time to turn them off and on.
