that thing will have it's own associated issues when it comes out. i'm not really willing to wait that long anyways since LCDs have come a long way.

yep, the 4ms response time nailed it for me since the Sony Bravia is 8ms.
lol. Guilty here, too. But anyway, I did try out Chromehounds at Circuit City yesterday, and maybe it was the gorgeous HDTV reality distortion having it's effect, but I really enjoyed it. It was slow, and methodical, but I liked it. And all I played was the single player, which I hear is the game's weakest point. I'll pick it up when It's ~$30.
That's fine, but there is NO requirement that signals switch over to be HD, and the over the air signal that you're going to get, so far as I know, won't be HD. You'll still have to make the extra effort to get your HD channels, and all channels aren't going to switch instantly to HD channels.
Forcing all channels to be broadcast in HD would be a huge difference from just being digital, and would be double-plus awesome. (Well, at least for those people who could handle the signal. The rest... not so much.)
