YES
Not enough TNL people picked it up at launch for it to become a regular thing, to be perfectly honest. But a few people have gotten it since and the patches should bring everyone back to it, so there'll be a temporary revival at very least. More people picking it up certainly wouldn't hurt the cause of it being played more regularly, obviously.
The single player is good fun, the lack of restart kinda sucks but it's only really a big issue with the burning routes, which are really only done to earn marginally tweaked versions of the standard car types. Until you start making some headway in earning the very last license (which won't be until some 20-odd hours in), you won't have any trouble finding another event nearby to go into.
I purchased it online so hopefully the revival won't be over before it arrives. I've liked the concept of this game since first reading about it but the last few racing games I paid full price for were not worth close to $60.
You'll hate the concept of taking your eyes off the road to check where you are and then crashing or getting lost during a fucking race.
Here's an idea. Stop sucking.
REAL TALK.
Whatever, I never look at the map. The clicking, the blinker, and the flashing fucking street sign tell me where to go.
