Well, I played a bit of the DMC4 Trial Version today at the game store when I went to pick up the new Castlevania.
It looked better then PS2, but it didn't really blow me away. And as for the game it was the same old DMC, nothing really new and exciting.
Oh and I don't really like the controllers, they feel cheap, and I really don't find the new R and L triggers comfortable.
Today we are supposed to get this hellacious storm from Noon til like 8. Gusts of like 60mph and 100% chance of Rain/Thunderstorms.
It is going to be awesome. GG Retards. I might go take pictures.

As fro the controllers themselves, I can't really say yet. The ones in Best Buy are connected to the demo unit by cables (of course), so I don't know how they feel when used wireless.

I got screwed out of getting one tomorrow ( I was #7 and we only got 6) but I am kind of happy this has happened. The more I think about it, the less I want a PS3. I mean, I'd only have one game on it (Resistance) until March, and even the games coming out in March aren't even that amazing looking. Apparently I will be able to get one before Christmas, but I think I may end up passing.
Anyways, I'm gonna stop by my BB later and take some pics if there are any idiots camping out.

Just got back from BB to check out the campers. Not as many as I expected, but there were at least 9 tents and some people just sitting in lawn chairs with plastic sheets over them to keep the rain off. It is col, windy and raining here, and it isn't supposed to stop until the weekend. These people are retards.
I also got to try out the PS3 for the first time and played Motorstorm. First off, I am now going to cancel my PS3 reserve and put the $100 towards my Wii. There is absolutely no reason to own a PS3 now, or even the first half of nex year. The games so far look no better than the 360, and Motorstorm ran like shit. Also, the controller is absolute garbage. If MS nailed one thing with the 360 (of course they got many things right) it was their controller. I have never held a more comfortable controller in my life than the 360's. The PS3 controller has the lamest analog stick placements, and they just don't feel right at all. I also don't like the the feel of the L2/R2 triggers.
In short, fuck you Sony, way to go MS and Nintendo.
I have to say, this is the funniest console launch I've ever seen.
I hope it hails tonight. Like, big fucking baseball-sized hail.
My sister is currently 7th in line at a local Target in MN and 5 of the people in front of her and a good portion of the 30 people behind her plan on reselling their PS3.

I finally seen and played the PS3 demo today. I came away unimpressed. I can see why people want it though. If you dont have a 360. If you have a 360 and are in line waiting for this your a retard. I didnt mind the trigger buttons all that much but the analog sticks are still retarded. The system looks like a bigger piece of shit up close than I was expecting. What the hell. I wont be buying one anytime soon.
and for people waiting in line to get one just to sell it one EBAY. Is it really worth it? You spend $600 to buy it then maybe get $1,600 for it on Ebay. Thats a whopping $1,000. That shit is not worth wasting days of my life standing in front of the store. Now if you got $4,000 for one maybe.....

Oh ya, I have mine guaranteed for tomorrow. Went to K-mart last night on a whim, didn't wait long, they gave us tickets reserving the only 2 units they had. My friend & I were first & second in line, just beating out a group of 4 by about 20 minutes. (store in Placerville CA) They didn't want us camping there (probably wasn't going to any way) so they gave us tickets (looked official).
Manager assured us they had them, & she had them locked in her office.
Looks like i'll be firing up the ebay account for first time in 4ever. Don't hate.

People are fuckin' mystified by the PS3. It's like it has some sort of voodoo magic effect. I was at my local Target yesterday, and they had Gears of War running on the 360 kiosk and Motorstorm running on the PS3 kiosk. There was a group of people gathered around, gawking at Motorstorm and talking about how awesome the graphics are. I told them if they were impressed with those graphics, they should check out Gears of War on the 360 kiosk. One of them said, "Oh, I saw that just now. It's pretty good, but these are way better."

Stopped by my EB to check on my honeymoon suite.. I mean PS3, and they had the kiosk set up. NBA 07... all the players still moved like they had 2x4s up their cracks, and were waxed down prior to playing. Motorstorm ran like ass and looked pretty poor.
I'm really lol'ing at all those people who are camping. It's just not worth it. Then again, I will have one tomorrow morning, so I am kinda enjoying the fact that I get to sleep in my bed tonight and not get douched with rain.

Oh yeah, I played Motorstorm at Target and basically laughed my ass off. It's an ExciteTruck boost-fest clone, with pretty graphics, none of the clever boost mechanics and an absolutely horrid framerate. It was stuttering so badly it hurt my eyes.
No game wants to clone Excite Truck.

Fry's is selling them bundled only. The bundle is system + 8 games for $1080. I like Fry's but they always have the most rediculous bundles on systems.

okay launch funnies aside, how low does anybody think the ps3 will drop in price over its life? and how long before a substantial price drop (less than $50 desnt count)? i dont ever see the thing under $400 and can imagine them scrapping the "value pack" after they keep having these fab problems.
Now that PS3 has officially launched, those who thought the PS3 wasnt going to make $1000+ in profit has been proven wrong. Go look on eBay. Before launch, they were ending for about $1300-1800. Now, they are over $2000
I don't see them dropping in price for a couple of years. Look at the PSP. Its never going to drop.
