Official PlayStation Mobile Thread

It's the logical direction for Sony with the traditional portable space being rapidly eaten away by the smart phone boom. I imagine Nintendo will eventually become a maker of smart phone games in the next 3 years or so. Conversely, I do expect smart phones to jump into the 3D display fad by the end of next year.

Nintendo will always sell their own hardware. Much of their target demographic aren't likely to own $600 phones.

N-Gage got everything else wrong, though.

They need to hurry up and announce a date and, more importantly, a carrier. My contract with AT&T will be up in June I think, so the timing would be good if a switch is required.

NINtendo? Nin "Ninty" Tendo? Develop games for a system other than their own? Never going to happen, especially with the 3DS coming out. They're not going to distract from their own hardware.

And "conversely" doesn't mean "also."

I like the idea of this, though It would probably have to have a blowjob attachment for me to give up my iPhone at this point.

New rumor: December unveiling, February launch. That makes a ton of sense, because trailing the 3DS to market seems retarded.

This thing had better play PSP games like the go. Though Sony always finds a way to dick something up, and that's a likely candidate. They can't compete with Apple without the PSP compatibility.
