I now wish to punch my rss feeder.
'Livin' in the 3 days ago. Awesome
my bad.
This thing is in this months game informer.
The more interesting thing in the article was that an Uncharted game might already be in the works for PSP2.
Why the hell would you want to play an Uncharted game on a small screen? I fucking hate the trend of cramming console games into a portable space. It doesn't play to the platform's strengths. It's just kind of awkward.
Seems that Sony really hasn't learned a lot from their past failures. 6000 core Cell chip that can age videos faster than realtime coming up on PS4, $900 MSRP.
If you believe IGN's Everything We Know About the PSP2, it is totally independent from the PSPhone, which is a kin to the iPhone and iPod touch being independent. Sony is so fucking stupid. So now, obviously pending more key information like GAMES, the pendulum has swung back to iPhone 5 and 3DS next year. If I have to have two devices anyway, why reward Sony for fucking that up?
On this week's exciting episode of Sony is fucking retarded, Xperia Play is apparently the name for the PlayStation Phone. Apparently, Xperia is the branding for the Sony-Ericsson smart phones. You can tell how much that brand is worth, since I spend hours a day reading about tech but didn't know that. Add in the fact that I seem to recall one of their main competitors in the gaming space having an "X" brand name, and it's just an awful decision. Sony would probably be running from the antitrust police if the company wasn't run by untrained chimpanzees. It would be so easy for them to dominate with any logic at all, but it simply is not there.
This has nothing to do with your statement, but it popped in my head as I was reading it.
Nintendo has Miyamoto
Sega has (had) Suzuki
Sony has ??? All I can come up with is Jaffe. Who is the face of Sony's top programming talent?
Jaffe is the zit on the ass end of the programming talent. Your point is valid though. The GT guy is probably the most visible, but Sony has some great teams behind the scenes (Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, etc.).
