Bluetooth Handsets

Have anyone heard any good thing about Bluetooth Handsets? I get crappy cell phone signal in my house, so I figure If I bought this bluetooth Handset I'll be able to keep my cell phone in the area where I have a good signal. This is what the phone looks like and I read in a review that it does have the feature that I'm looking for, but the dude couldn't comment on it because he didn't have a cell to test it with.

I still don't understand why clamshell/flip phones are so popular in the U.S. the form factor sucks.

I hate Uniden....just get a proper Panasonic 2.4Ghz cordless phone.

what feature are you looking for? importing contacts through PC?

because people dont like locking the keypad, but they want to keep the phone in a pocket and not dial people at random.

When I had a non-flip phone it dialed 911 twice in my pocket. Even with the lock on they'll still dial emergency numbers.

flip open/close to type a messge is fucking annoying. but then again i heard that americans are the least people in the world that type messages. eurpe/middle east/asia type messages like mad.

I personaly prefer bar form, it has auto keypad lock, and i type almost 20 daily.(on rare occasions even more)


anyways, that Uniden phone looks like shit. and since it's a cordless, he wont be putting it in his pocket since it's for home use.

Yeah, I'm a bigger fan of calling people with my phone. If something needs to be discreet or is not important in the slightest, then sure, but I don't see it as a primary use.

Every time my girlfriend uses her BT handset to call me it sounds like garbage.

It's annoying, seeing everyone walking about with these BT headsets on everywhere they go. It's the first step to converting the entire human race to cyborgs, mark my words.
