Saddest Scenes OAT
The saddest scenes from movies through the ages.
1) I was watching TV today, and there was a commercial for Castaway - Showed Tom Hanks talking to Wilson. When Wilson floated away, that was poisonous.
2) Grave of the Fire Flies - The whole damn thing. :(
-
Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, when Cyrax died.
-
Spoiler tags pls
Especially for Dolemite's choice. :(
-
Metropolis, at the end.
Anything involving kids dying/getting hurt (see: My Girl, Man on Fire)
Not too many movies hit me, but that Folgers (or some coffee) commercial from years ago did.
"Peter?"
-
Boromir death scene.
Also, the end of Braveheart.
-
I COINED "OAT". TNL timestamp will prove it. Give me street cred, pls.
Saddest scenes:
Indecent Proposal - too many to count, lots of sad-slash-romantic-happy/sad scenes in this one, just like...
Ghost - see above
My Life - saw this like ten years ago, but the whole thing was pretty damn tear-inducing
Ok, this turned into my saddest movies list instead of saddest scenes list, and not even really that since IP and Ghost are sad in a happy way most of the time imo.
There's millions more, can't think of much right now...
Oh yeah, Everwood and Party of Five - yes, they're both cancelled drama tv series, but they ruled and were sad as fuck at times (E), or pretty much constantly (PoF).
-
-
In Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, when Spock dies. srsly.
-
The part in V for Vendetta when Evee is being held in the fake cell and she reads the letter by the persecuted lesbian. Such simple yet profound writing, and it makes me choke up everytime I see it.
V for Vendetta Spoiler above.
-
I caught The Fox and the Hound today on TV, the end always gets me pretty sad.
