Sounds like you could really use one. I paid $450 for the STi but most of that cost is extra features and included accessories, detection is mostly the same as $300 detectors. Someone out there will buy it for a lot of money if you ever want to sell.

It only has to save you once to pay for itself, so getting the best is a worthwhile investment. Just remember they aren't fool proof. Oh, and don't buy the black market ones off ebay. RDs are fickle things and you will have no warranty unless you buy from an authorized dealer.

Don't knock until you have driven one. The R/T is a quick bastard. Yes, its no where near as refined as a 5-series, but it was quicker, and a heck of a lot cheaper.

Plus its a assload of fun blowing peoples doors off in a refridgerator white 4 door.

I didnt have to pay. I gotten cards from my grandfather and friends. Yea, I had bad luck. Just so happens I only get them when i'm with a girl. Luckily, I only gotten one with my current gf 2 years ago. Nothing since. I dont even know if I got points. Probably the one in upstate but I hardly go up there.

My cousins friend works at Best Buy but they live in Minnesota. I'll see what I can do. I was looking into the Escort 8500x50 at the time. I was actually going to buy the detector off of ebay. now I'll have to think about it.

A friend of mine had a V1 he liked it but kind of pricey for me. I dont want to do any hard installs since I drive a '95 Ford Taurus so sticking it on the windshield is good for me until I buy a new car or something (hopefully within 1-3 years when I pay off all my student loans and save for car).
