So you find the fact every game has at least one character that's damn near impossible to kill balanced? It was Seth in the sacred stones and Titinia in path, these characters are just way too strong. And on the other side of the spectrum you have characters the seem to just plain suck no matter how mutch you try and train them. The games are just not well balanced.
Have you ever finished a FE? Those characters become shit useless once other characters can start promoting. Like he said, you NEVER should use them for anything but defense (give them shit weapons or let a weapon break and have nothing in their inventory) or a last resort if you just can't kill a boss or something. I mainly use them to clog up points and protect ranged-weapon wielders. Once other classes get promotions the initial tank guys just get passed up sooooo quickly. If you let them take all the experience your entire team will be absolutely crippled.
And that, my friends, is what we call crappy design.
Not really, you can abuse a heavy hitter from the start and suffer for it later, or you can force yourself to think and grow so that you have an easier time later? Try again.
Also there are no characters that are absolute shit, if you put effort into some characters they can be amazing. Take the purple haired Pegasus Knight, I made her fucking amazing.
Good idea in theory, and you need it at first. There are other ways to get around the early tough battles, but they decided to add in one 'veteran' character to overlook your weaker main Lord. Plot-wise it makes perfect sense for the older general to look after the novice Lord, it just makes for some imbalance when you get to the later third of the game if you relied too heavily on them before.
Nobody has explained how having a character that can mow down everyone is balanced. All everyone is saying is that you can work around that fact so you aren't screwed at the end of the game.
I guess you really can make some of the most terrible characters useable but why bother? Generally if a character isn't compitent when I get them I don't stress keeping them leveled up, I use characters that are already worth using. But perhaps that could be just me, I can see how you could enjoy taking a near worthless character and making them godly but that doesn't appeal to me.Quote:
