At my old job there wasn't that much design work. Any of the work was in-house so I'd just slap their logo on it and send it out. So whenever things got slow later in the day I'd usually be really tired from going out the night before. I managed to find a way to prop myself up to look like I was working (my hand was on my mouse). I also captured video of myself from the desktop doing generic work on the computer and ran it on the screen so it actually looked like I was working.
Fell asleep for like 2 hours a day for almost an entire week and the designer next to me had no idea. Whenever she was gone away I would change her desktop to pictures of people in the office giving the thumbs up. She suspected me on that one, but had no proof.
I've fallen asleep just about everywhere, though it's hard to get much of it done in work. That's not to say I've never done it before though.
I can not sleep at work. I have to know what's happening with 20-35 emloyees at any given time during my 12-18 hour shift. That's fine because I have fresh coffee at my disposal. The downside is that when I'm finally off my mind will not allow me to simply sit down and relax. I usually have to drink or at least be social.
I used to fall asleep occasionally when I had a job verifying telemarketer calls (yeah). Amazingly, pretty much everybody else did, too.
I was a cashier, so not much room to fall asleep on the job. Dozed off on a lunch break but there are always at least 2 people on break with you, so they woke me up in time.
Never have slept at work. The closes thing I did was doze off while tutoring one of kids in reading, at my old job. The kid just poked me in the arm and asked me if I was ok. |-)
When I used to work in a hotel there were many times when I had to work a 12-14 hour shift, get 4-5 hours off then come right back for another 8-14 hours. When I had to do those I would often just go take one of the rooms and sleep in them for a few hours between shifts.
last week, I could only sleep for about 3 hours a night for some reason, so I fell asleep at work while on the toilet. I fell asleep before I began shitting, woke up, noticed I'd been in there for 20 minutes so i hurried out. I didn't even get to do the poo :(
