Apparently the Wii receives no information from the sensor bar; the wire is only there to supply power.

Nintendo amuses children and the elderly with cheap parlor tricks, news at 11.
I have the same Thanksgiving story as everyone else it seems. Wii Sports bowling ruled the day. I pretty much had to throw everyone out or else they would still be here playing right now. I can't believe how fun Wii Sports is.
I put mine a videotape sized Priority Mail box (fits almost perfectly..the Wii is just a hair bigger). I put the controllers in a small best buy bag. Then shoved everything into my GameCube messenger bag. Would be so sweet if I can get my hands on a Wii bag (without buying)
I think I'm going to be playing this with Gibbits tonight, and I'm excited.
My only hesitation about getting a Wii bag is that I don't want everyone knowing I'm carrying a Wii around. At least not while everyone is rabid for one. A friend of mine just called to tell me she left at 5am this morning to go find a Wii. Every store had lines bigger than on launch morning, and all were out of Wii vouchers. There were about 30 people at the end of each line without vouchers, hoping someone with a voucher would change their mind or be unable to pay. People were walking up and down the lines saying things like "$30 for a voucher!"
lol wii bag. Where do you kids find this shit.
Well they sell them at Target. Just like the Wii sling pouch. The Wii messenger bag I was talking about is like the shit that they give out to you at like E3 or whatever promo stuff it is. The Wii bag sold in stores is for actually carrying the Wii with pockets and stuff.
