Bush Administration wants to keep torture secret

If you've ever seen the movie "The Road to Guantanamo", some of it is actually quite funny. Of course, it could be wildly exaggerated for the camera, but some of it is still funny. But it would suck to have to go through, so I feel bad for anyone, like in the movie, who was simply stereotyped and sent to Cuba simply because they were Muslim or because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you haven't seen that movie I encourage you to check it out. It's pretty good...and I think it won a couple of Filmfest awards.

Wait...so the government wants to keep torture secret because divulging torture will give away valuable torture techniques to terrorists?

And they have someone who can argue that with a straight face?

I think this is fucking hilarious.

A) So, these guys have to stay in prison forever? Because otherwise, they'll get out and divulge these valuable super-exclusive torture techniques.

B) ROFL @ the notion that these generally uneducated yutzes they recruit from the slums of the middle east will develop Jedi mind powers that allow them to defeat mental and physical torture. Half the guys in there are just random kids they caught in the hills of Afghanistan with an AK47.


If there's a valuable service a newly democratic House can provide, it's putting a stop to crap like this. It's not just un-American, it's un-first world.

The whole "religion causes death" argument that has become so trendy to make is about as useful as the "guns kill people" argument. People kill people and they're very resourceful about finding excuses and tools to do so.

It has nothing to do with trend if you helped originate the trend. I've been saying that since I went to christian middle school. It's the reason I was expelled. Religion is bullshit. It's all bullshit. If there was a Christ, I hope he suffered.

And how does religion not kill people when an alarming amount of human suffering can be attributed to it?
