You want Cheney to be the President outright?

WTF, Missouri?
So in CA, they had this guy running for governor, Edward C. Noonan and his occupation is "Computer Shop Owner." For state treasurer, they had an E. Justin Noonan, a "Computer Technician." Heh.
Hehehehe... Oh, I can't wait to see what happens in Virginia. Dems got Montana, LOL.
Didn't a prop banning affirmative action just pass in Michigan? I know a ban on abortion failed to pass in South Dakota (I'm pro choice through the first trimester so I don't support that bill but partial birth abortion is clearly murder), an English-Only law passed in Arizona, a silly ban on smoking in public places passed in Ohio and Arizona, a bunch of gay marriage bans will probably pass in 8 more states.
I think the consensus of most Americans is clearly English Only, protect our borders, lower our taxes, maximize our personal freedoms, and if a baby is old enough to cry while you abort it it's murder.
Interesting. I only knew about the english only ban in Arizona and the gay ban in tennesse.
Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R) won in TX, but DeLays spot (district 22, where I live) was taken by Lampson (D).
Gov. Race went like this:
Chris Bell, D 29.8%
James Werner, L 0.6%
Kinky Friedman, I 12.6%
Carole Strayhorn, I 17.9%
Rick Perry, R (I) 39.1%
Poor old Kinky didn't even beat Granma and probably cost the race for Chris Bell.
I'd say its more the concept of voters refusing to switch allegience for the good of the country.
Not to say that you would ever vote Democrat, but if most Republicans hated Bush so much, then maybe they should have voted for Gore. And before you point it out I'd say the same for Republicans.
There is too much partisanship now. Far too much. People who voted for Bush and said "well he's still better than Kerry, or Gore..." have had a wake up call I think in the last two years, and found that when you vote that way, and your party can rely on you because you aren't actually "listening" to what they are selling, that your just gonna vote that way anyway, well it winds up meaning that said party can (and will eventually) get away with whatever they want.
What saddens me the most I guess, is this is the first time in my voting career I've voted straight down party lines (and hopefully I'll NEVER HAVE to do it again), simply because I do not believe in a government with zero checks, and the greater good now will (hopefully) come out of this.
Btw. For those that went to bed, its looking more and more like (as of 3:26AM eastern time) the Dems are gonna get the Senate as well.
This senate race is pretty riveting.
