Lieberman wins Connecticut

It's practically final (82% of the vote is in), Lieberman has been re-elected to the Senate as part of the "CT for Lieberman" party over Lamont 50%-40%. For those of you not in CT or unfamiliar with the race, Lamont poured millions of dollars into unseating Lieberman in the Democratic Primary based solely on comparing him to George Bush. Lamont campaigned as a socialist friend of the working man, despite laying off thousands while increasing his own pay. He fancies pretending he's a self made man (he inherited his money) and as of February 2006 belonged to a white-only country club. Lieberman's a good man and belongs in the Senate, good job CT.

Yup, Hillary won her 1.5 year senate seat. Why do you despise Lieberman?

Lieberman, despite being a despicable Bush apologist, still claims he'll caucus with the Dems so I don't know why SpoDaddy is celebrating. Shouldn't he be saddened that Alan "I'm a card cheat" Schlesinger was utterly destroyed? Oh that's right, he was never a serious candidate to begin with and Lieberman's win was due entirely to Republicans who don't support Joe's positions on anything but the war but REALLY hated Ned Lamont. Not much of a win for the GOP.

Lieberman's not a Bush appologist, he's just not pulling the "It wasn't my fault that I voted for the war" flip flop. Unlike you I'm not beholden to a political party, I vote for the best candidate for the job.

And Lieberman's a good example of the american people voting for a candidate and what he stands for, not just a political party. That something to be happy for.
