Though this not be a true sequel, I always read that the game is a sidestory that takes place AFTER FFXII. Vaan will be 18 in Revenant Wings (as opposed to 17 in FFXII). There'll be nothing dealing with the Ashe storyline this time around and Vaan will be the real main character.Quote:

The battle system is supposed to be mostly new. Gambits are still there, though more simplified. Espers are more important this time around for the battles from what I hear. Revenant Wings is supposed to have the most amount of summons compared to previous FFs. What are the odds that there'll be a Kefka and Sephiroth summon? Haha.
PS: The game is developed by the FFX/FFX-2 team.
