Wow, that totally blows. I mean, every time this comes up, I feel sort of sad because MS got EVERYTHING right IMO...except the fact that some people have had terrible trouble with 1 or more systems. I hope this doesn't bite them in the butt because I'd rather have it this way than a reliable system that gets the rest wrong. It may be easy for me to say as a person without trouble, but I'm sure I'd feel the same way if it happened to me even 4 times.
I'm the opposite. A reliable system is a cost of doing business with me. If my 360 dies, I'm buying a PS3 the same day and never looking back. I'll play BioShock on PC and bite the bullet on Mass Effect.
I don't want to eat the cost, and I'd really rather play the 360's library, but if the next one they send me doesn't work, that's what's going to happen. I can't keep sending it back & forth waiting for them to send me a functional unit. It's worse knowing that no matter what, I'm getting somebody else's refurb. If push comes to shove I can always jump back in down the line if MS releases a more reliable hardware revision.Quote:

Well that has yet to be proven. My 2 PS2's that died on me had no problems until around a year or so later. I took good care of them as well.Quote:
