"Easily the best animated film of the year." Christy Lemire - Associated Geniuses
"Happy Feet dances up a storm, but instead of smiles, Miller's cloudy creation will surely elicit blank stares from duped parents and head-spinning from confused little kids." Brian Orndorf - internetjackass.com

I laugh every time I hear that Penguin do Grandmaster Flash's "The Message" in the commercial.

-
It has Brittney Murphy singing Queen's "Somebody to Love"
That's not crap.

I took my daughter to see it yesterday and it wasn't bad. There is a major message in it as well as some smaller ones that may go overlooked. All of them tho will go overlooked by the kids.

Kids movies aren't geared towards kids. They're geared towards the kids parents who have to sit through the movie too.
-
That's a mistake. Movies like Shrek and, well, all of the Pixar movies pander to both audiences. They do it very well, too. But overall they're still kids' movies.
This reaks of "Lets cash in on March of the Penguins!" Dancing Penguins is a shitty gimmick.
-
This movie was started before march of the penguins, fyi.

Seriously. March of the Penguins probably took 2 months to shoot. CG films take years.
