I've got about 165 games and most have been purchased in the last 5 years. I figure my collection will plateau at about 200 games, which would be almost every game I'd want to own.

Another semi-related question: What's your stance on selling games? Never? A lot?
I know I've probably sold 30-40 games over the past year thanks to the nice figures I can get on eBay. Helps me streamline my collection and buy new (hopefully better) games.
I have been in a bad place for the past year and half and haven't boughten or hell really even played any new games. I pawned all my systems to pay bills. So I own 3 games. All three on pc :(. But fear not I start in 6 hours my job at GameStop. So I will try and catch up with you ;).
Man, I list count when my Video Game list corrupted on my P.C.
Right now, I'd say around 450 games, and about 275 of them are imports. Since I completed my DC collection, I've kinda cut back on my game buying. There's nothing else to import anymore, aside from the occasional GBA title.
That sucks, being forced to sell systems. It wasn't long ago where all I really had were a few PlayStation games (Jet Moto and Tomb Raider were practically all I played for 8 months). If nothing else, it's refreshing not being burdened with owning that much stuff (that's why I'm trying to keep my collection semi-reasonable).
Yeah it does suck. Plus the only list I ever really kept of gaming was my games beat list. http://www.angelfire.com/games2/GFTavern/games.html i'm proud of it :) because there isn't a game missing on my list ;)
If we're talking 'legit' games, somewhere around 250.... if we include not so legit, but all physical games (not roms), more like 700-800....
And I still spend more time here than playing games... what a chump I am...
I sold all my stuf when I was in my early teens. SNES, Genny, and NES stuff all gone.
Now im focusing on regaining all that back, but I still buy new games here and there. Between my five consoles and two hadnhelds I probably have something like 125-150. I havent actually counted though, it could be alot less or alot more. Most of my PSX stuff is in boxes, so I cant say for sure. My collection is growing really fast too, but thats mainly because I buy mostly old cheap games, with a newer game here and there.

I remember a thread similar to this one on the 'ol GameGo! boards and I referred to my games as a "collection". Someone, I am pretty sure it was EThugg, hastily scorned me for using the term "collection".
I quickly and correctly began referring to it as my game "library" ever since. A "collection" is an assembly of things that you aquire to just have and rarely (if ever) use. A library is an assembly of things that you actually take the time to enjoy and use.

I have about 300-350 games in my library now. The size of my library started growing at a MUCH higher rate since the GG! days, when my love of gaming was rekindled and intensified.
I am almost done getting all of the games I want. All I really need to focus on are my NeoGeo and Turbo/Super CD aspects...
Oh yeah, I NEVER sell games anymore. I am even buying back the many Genesis and Sega CD games that I sold years ago. Shame on me.
