Yes, GRAW, followed closely thereafter by Oblivion. It was simply a timing issue.

That is retarded because if they continue to loose money then there is no point in them making systems any more and eventually the share holders will make them stop. Seriously are you retarded, just answer that honestly, because if you like a company and the things they do you should want them to make money because if they don't eventually they'll stop doing what you like.

With component costs having depreciated over one year's time, and the cost of factory retooling and improvements no longer a major factor, Microsoft spends only $323.30 per unit. After margins are accounted for, Microsoft likely earns a modest profit per unit sold today.
That's making a small amount of money on each console sold now, that still isnt turned a profit for the project overall, before that happens they have to make up the billions they've all ready lost on it.
I'm sure at the end of the Xbox's like they had to be making something on the 150 they sold it for, it still wasn't enough to take their game division and the overall Xbox project into the black.
It's pretty sweet. One cool thing is you can exit at any time and it does like an insta-save so the next time you go back in you're right where you left. I haven't tried a game with its own save system so I don't know if you can also save that way.
I like how once you buy it it pops up in your channels.
You can head back to the wii main menu at any time with the home key. (that's when it saves your spot for you.) You can transfer your saves around. Controller works well. Haven't tried the classic yet.
The only thing I'm sad about is once you start a Gamecube game your wiimote turns off (which is GOOD since it saves batteries. It also turns off if it is idle for about 5 minutes or so) but you can't reset or turn off the Wii with the wiimote once you're in a GC game. I had my wavebird and tv remote and wiimote and was hoping to keep the entire affair on the couch.
The best thing about the wii, really, is how comfortable it is to play. I played bonk for about a half an hour and had to put both hands together again. I cannot overstate the comfort of being able to keep both of your hands pretty much where you want.
I think I'm more embarrassed at how people still use Gamerankings as a defense.
Sunk cost in establishing a brand. I don't think they intend to make up the money lost on Xbox since that was what they chose to do to establish a brand. They do intend to make up money lost on Xbox 360 however, which is entirely likely. Now they have a new business, an established product line, an established service and all of them stand to start generating revenue. What price do you put on brand recognition and consumer confidence?
Not to mention Sony's legs are a little bit wobbly from all of the embarrassments to their brand over the past year and a half. 360 already has 8 million consoles sold. That's almost half of what the original Xbox did, isn't it?
I'm personally more loyal to the Xbox because it's given us a really easy to use machine with an awesome online component. The games appeal to me a little more. If PS3 folded the only thing I'd be pissed about is losing the Shadow of the Colossus team, because that game was the shit.
I also hate the cocky attitude Sony blasts its fans with so often.
(Pst. Don't believe that site's numbers. 360 has sold maybe 5 million worldwide at this point. I doubt Sony's numbers are actually that low, though they probably aren't a whole lot better. And Nintendo's numbers should be wayyyyyy above .5 million.)
