You know, I watched the tirade again, and then watched his apology on Dave. And I'm no longer very convinced. They interview Sinbad at one point (he was there when it happened) who called Richard's apology unacceptable trash, a cop out adding that a "real man" would apologize in front of an all black comedy club instead of "taking the easy way out on Letterman." Brilliant idea, Sinbad. :rolleyes:
The Letterman apology may have sounded dull and awkward but...Sinbad's solution = put Richards in a 100x more uncomfortable position with potential to throw gas on the fire. Surely a more effective apology would be gained by that. I'll admit though, if he did that he'd sure have some nerve and bravery (not saying there's even a possibility he would consider obviously).
