MS does the same thing. At least 100 VC points= $1 insteand of 80 marketplace points = $1 or something like that on live.

I'm going to call my sister up and tell her that she owes me ten dollars right now. I used to own Super Mario 64, but one day she came over to my house about five years ago and "borrowed" it without asking. I haven't seen it since then, and ten dollars to download the game is WAY TOO MUCH!
Sell it back to Nintendo? Buy-backs work because the item can be resold. Downloadable games don't have a quantity limit nor can they become "used," so there's no need to buy back and resell at a lower price. Nintendo has nothing to gain from "buying back" your downloaded games. The process would really just be them giving you part of your money back (and there's no way that is happening).
They could offer it as Nintendo points. Like if you spent 500 points on something you could get back 300 by trading it in, this way you're basically renting the game. They still keep all the money you spent and it helps encourage you to continue spending money, since you're only getting part of what you spent back so you'll have to top it off to get another game to replace it.
Devil's Crush is still awesome. So awesome, that when I started playing Alien Crush, I just couldn't do it. Devil's Crush blows it away.
While I would prioritize VC online play over leaderboards, it would be nice to have a leaderboard system for the high-score games because it adds an extra incentive to purchase and play those games. I don't think we'll ever see such a system because that requires a central server to store all the scores, and that's an expense Nintendo probably won't want to have.
It would be cool if they made a local Mii Leaderboard where you can query what your Wii friends have scored in a game, and should be easy to implement since the scores on stored in each player's Wii.
Lol no VC online playability? That 360 is looking might good even though it's $150 extra.
"and should be easy to implement since the scores on stored in each player's Wii."
Are they displayed via a VC GUI or just via the board/score in the ROM savestate?
