burgundy's panties are in a bunch over nothing. To me, the Wii's relationship with the other consoles is not only important to this discussion, but it's important to Nintendo. I'm not advocating Wii bashing, because I will probably own one as soon as I trip over one in a store. Rather, I am saying that Nintendo's success, regardless of their desire to expand the market, is still in the hands of the gamers. Those people are not going to have the Wii as their main system. It just won't work in that capacity. It will, however offer Nintendo's always interesting first and second party games and some creative offerings from third parties. Nintendo's potential blockbuster success will come from their ability to convince 360 and PS3 owners that need a Wii too because of its uniqueness. If they really think they can compete with Microsoft and Sony to be the only game in town, they are more out of touch than I think.
