Why would Sony have any control over that? I'm not talking Sony first party games. Stuff like the original MGS by konami, or a PS1 era Final Fantasy by Squareenix.

Sure, but lets see them get the publisher's permission for that shit, especially when they're still in business and planning the same service for their own next gen console.

It doesn't matter if it is first party or not, Sony would do whatever it could to ensure the only place to find any playstation game woud be on one of their systems.

Final Fantasy I, II, and IV are currently on 4 different systems, not including cell phones. I will be surprised if they are never on VC.

Since VC is nothing but ROMs, it'll be a cold day in hell before they come to VC. If they wanted to make them from the ground up, then yeah, Sony has no say (necessarily anyway). But that's not going to happen because that would mean someone put at least a tiny bit of effort into Wii development, which is lolz

Avatar's question isn't really stupid, it just sounds stupid when you first hear it. The only thing Sony could do is not give permission for the game to be defined as a Playstation game. As long as the emulation software doesn't infringe on any Sony copyrights a third party could do it. They won't, because it's not worth the trouble when they could just easily throw the game on the Sony service instead and not worry about emulation.

What I'd kill to see is Saturn games on the VC. It's not like Sega makes good games anymore anyway, they've got nothing better to do.
